Super Mario Bros – World 2-3
A bridge, water on both sides, 300 seconds. Sounds calm. What makes 2-3 dangerous is the red Cheep-Cheeps: they leap out of the water in high arcs, cross the bridge and drop back in, and there are dozens of them over the length of the stage. None of them aims at you. Standing still is still how you get hit.
The whole stage is a chain of bridges with small gaps in between. Keep running. Jump the gaps as they come and let the fish pass over or under you; a stomp on a flying Cheep-Cheep works if the timing is right, but it is rarely worth the risk.
There are no pipes and no bonus rooms, only a few question blocks with coins along the way. If you are Fire Mario, fireballs clear the fish before they reach the bridge; if you are small, the safest tactic is speed.
