Super Mario Bros – World 5-2

  • Level type: Overworld
  • Time limit: 400

An overworld stage with a lot going on. 5-2 has Hammer Brothers on the surface, Buzzy Beetles, a beanstalk to a coin heaven, and a pipe down to a short underwater section with Bloopers. The 400-second timer reflects how much there is to do.

The Hammer Brothers come first, standing on two levels of bricks. Fireballs solve them; without fire, wait for both hammers to be in the air and run under. The vine is in a brick a little further on, above a row of blocks. The water pipe is optional and leads back to the surface after a few coins.

Buzzy Beetles are the small black ones that fireballs bounce off. Stomp them and kick the shell like a Koopa's. The level ends with a normal staircase.
